History

Boogaard International is a well-known name in the world of organic foods.

Our story begins in 1974. In that year, founder Lambert van den Boogaard laid the foundation for today's company thanks to Biogarde, a yoghurt containing special lactic acid bacteria. This product was relatively unknown until then. The Dutch Melkunie removed Biogarde from its range and transferred production and distribution to Lambert. He immediately saw the potential of Biogarde. It was given the addition 'with right-turning lactic acid' and, together with his wife Riet, he committed himself into selling this unique product.

The company further developed, without losing the warm character of the family business. Expertise, years of experience and professionalism go hand in hand. Today, the short lines in communication still allow Boogaard to respond quickly to specific customer requests.

We are looking to the future. The next generation is ready for further growth and innovation in organic food. We have a keen eye for new markets and interesting products, and our range continues to grow to meet the high standards of our customers.
